Program Overview
Diploma in Creative Multimedia provides knowledge and skills related to equipment like computer, digital camera, audio recording and mixing and aims to provide knowledge to digital media for global need in personnel multimedia sectors. This course aims to provide students with skill and knowledge to produce and develop digital content (such as web design, photography, video editor, animation) for online and offline courses.
With the digital transformation businesses replacing orthodox business, The Diploma in Creative Multimedia at NBUC is transparently design to enthusiastically adopt this digitization in brilliant mind. Each graduate is expected to be expert in the particular field and have a creative mindset in managing projects. Through project and practical exercises using digital tools such as computer software (2D and 3D imaging, animation, video editing, audio mixing, designing) video recording tools (single camera production, multiple camera productions, live recording), audio re-cording (music production) and photography, students will be up-to-date with the current multimedia technologies and will be able to come up with innovative idea for digital content. They will also be exposed to essential teamwork as practiced as most industries related field.
There is assuredly a global need for essential personnel in Multimedia sectors. Graduates may go aboard into a career as Multimedia Designer, Webmaster, Inter-face Designer, Props Designer & Animator, Web Designer, Art Director, Post Pro-duction Artist/Designer, Video Production Team, Animator, Photographer, Digital Illustrator, etc. Students may also choose to continue their education and gain advanced standing into any one of the degree programmes offered in Malaysia.
Entry Requirement
NORMAL ENTRY
- Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with three (3) credits in any subjects; OR
- Pass Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3/ Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) (*HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme); OR
- A certificate (Level 3, MQF) in relevant field with at least CGPA 2.00; OR
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan (STPM) or equivalent with minimum of grade C (CGPA 2.0) in any subject; OR
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul; OR
- Any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia; AND
- Pass an interview (online/ virtual/ conventional) OR submission of student’s portfolio, to be determined by the HEP as required
- English Competency Requirement (International Student) Achieve a minimum score of High Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) OR Equivalent to CEFT Mid B1
APEL.A ENTRY
- Possess an APEL A certification from MQA for admission into Diploma programmes; OR
- Malaysian; AND
- 20 years old and above in the year of application; AND
- Possess relevant previous working experience/ learning
